Penny Mordaunt calls for “Great Partnership” with DFID

On the 21st June, the UK Government’s Secretary of State for International Development, Penny Mordaunt MP, gave a speech to Chatham House in which she called for a “Great Partnership” between DFID and civil society, with increased outreach across the wider regions of the UK.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and President Peter Mutharika of Malawi have signed a partnership agreement to commit both governments to development cooperation across areas such as health, education, human rights, governance and social enterprise.

Mangochi District Hospital Fire

We are sorry to learn of the fire at Mangochi District Hospital on the morning of 15th April which seems to have destroyed the integrated Maternal and Child Health (MCH) block. We are in contact with the hospital and other organisations locally.
