Active Learning Centre

The Active Learning Centre has twenty years experience working in low and middle-income countries to strengthen peoples voices, with a particular focus on gender equality, effective democracy and access to justice.,We have worked in Malawi for six years now. We have a developed an Access to Justice project in Dedza and Mangochi, where local women can get free advice on support on a wide range of issues including domestic abuse, inheritance and property law and HIV/Aids.,,We are also working on a democracy programme with the Womens Parliamentary Caucus, working with women MPs to strengthen their effectiveness both in the legislature and in their constituencies, and advised the 50-50 campaign in the run up to the 2009 elections.,
