I worked in Organizational Development at St Johns College of Nursing in Mzuzu for 18 months (through VSO) and continued to support them in the areas of strategic planning, proposal writing and external relationships for a further 12 months. St Johns is one of the CHAM training institutions which train the majority of nurses in Malawi. While in Mzuzu I facilitated service delivery activities at the Antenatal Clinic at Mzuzu Health Centre and am keen to continue to support this group particularly with respect to eliminating mother to child transmission of HIV.,,I work with Ehehleni CBO advising on proposal writing, M&E reporting and external relationships. This CBO is situated about 2 hours south of Mzuzu and covers 70 villages and 10,000 inhabitants. It has programs addressing People with Disabilities, High Risk People Living with Aids, Home Based Care, Orphan Care, Youth, Environment and Micro-Finance and would appreciate support in any of these areas., I support two female orphaned students as they complete their education and certification.
