I joined the Scotland Malawi Partnership in October 2014 and work to support existing school partnerships, encourage new partnerships with schools and youth groups, and increase the Partnership's engagement of young Scots.
I first visited Africa as an eight year old and told my parents that I would move to Africa one day! I worked as a Primary teacher in England and then my wish came true as i moved to Malawi to work as a teacher trainer with VSO for two years. After my VSO placement i worked directly with a Primary school in Lilongwe as Acting Head Teacher. With my Malawian husband, Brave, we reluctantly made the decision to return to the UK and we settled on Edinburgh because my family live here.
