WaterAid transforms lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the worlds poorest communities. We work with partners and influence decision-makers to maximise our impact. Since 1981 WaterAid has reached over 14 million people with life-saving water and over 9 million people with sanitation and improved hygiene since 2004. Clean water is essential for life, but one in eight of the world's population does not have access to it.
