Since 1993 over 1500 girls have completed their secondary education because of Mamie Martin Fund support. Our Impact study (2015) demonstrates the impact that this education has had on the lives of these women, their families and communities.
The Mamie Martin Fund was established in 1993 to support the education of girls in the secondary schools of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP), Synod of Livingstonia, in Northern Malawi. The girls enrolled in the schools are not necessarily from religious backgrounds. We now have another partnership, one with The Soko Fund, through which five of our girls get scholarships to attend a Malawian university each year - over time that will be fifteen young women studying each year.
